Ronald L. Terry, M.D.

Ronald Terry, M.D., is board certified in radiation oncology. His personal and professional roots across the southeast United States contribute to his finely tuned southern sense of humor and gentle ways with patients. A native of Pensacola, FL, Dr. Terry graduated from North Carolina State University in Raleigh and the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. His radiation oncology training at the NCI Comprehensive Cancer Center at Wake Forest University School of Medicine led to several private practice positions in Asheville, NC, and Charleston and Greenville, SC, before he came to Athens Radiation Oncology in 1999. His group merged with NEGACC in 2005, with the goal of providing patients a standard of excellence that includes regularly scheduled physician meetings to evaluate patients’ progress and treatment plans. Dr. Terry is a member of the medical staff at Athens Regional Medical Center and St. Mary’s Healthcare System. He is a member of the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO) and the American Brachytherapy Society. He also has served as a board member for the local chapter of the American Cancer Society.
